People and Notifications - LumiFrame Guides

LumiFrame keeps you updated on everything that matters: new uploads from people you share with, frame status changes, album invitations, and more. Here's how the People screen and the notification system work.

#The People screen

Tap People in the bottom navigation. The screen has two tabs:

People: everyone you share albums with. Each row shows their name and @handle, how many albums you share, and a strip of memories they recently added. Tap the search icon to find someone by name or handle, and tap a row to open their profile.
Updates: your real-time view of what's happening across your LumiFrame world.

#Your updates feed

Switch to the Updates tab to see:

Memory updates: When someone adds still or live memories to a shared album.
Collaboration events: When someone joins an album, accepts an invite, or changes their role.
Frame updates: When a frame comes online, goes offline, or encounters an issue.
Engagement: Appreciation reactions and comments on shared memories.

Tap any update to jump straight to the relevant album, frame, or memory.

#Your notifications

Notifications appear both in the app and as push notifications on your device.

To see all notifications:

Tap the bell icon at the top of your home screen.
Unread notifications appear highlighted.
Tap a notification to open the related content.
Swipe left on a notification to dismiss it, or use Clear All to start fresh.

#Customising what you get notified about

Not every update needs a notification. You can choose exactly what you hear about:

Go to Settings → Notification Settings.
Use the toggles to turn categories on or off.

You can control notifications for:

Frame alerts: Battery warnings, frame going offline, slideshow stops.
Social & engagement: When someone reacts to or comments on your memories.
Collaboration: Album invitations, new members, role changes.
Security: Sign-ins from new devices, password changes.
System: Important announcements and app updates.

#If notifications aren't arriving

Go to Settings → Notification Settings.
Check that push notifications are enabled for LumiFrame in your device's Settings app.
Tap Test Notification to send a test push and confirm delivery is working.
Tap Refresh to re-register the device with the notification service.
