For months, Reflections has been the part of LumiFrame we kept behind the curtain while we got it right. As of this release it is open to everyone. Your photos already light up your frames; Reflections is where your weeks are kept.
#Every week, a book
Each Monday, the week before becomes a book. It leads with what happened this week: who you shared photos with, the moment they answered, what your frames played and for how long. Then it turns to the past: firsts and returns, a stretch from your library years back, and places named from where the photographs were taken. The book opens like a hardcover, and every fact in it is told once.
#A shelf that keeps them
Books stay on the shelf, named the way you would name them: "September, week three". The full shelf files them under their month, and under their year once it reaches past this one. Days you want to hold on to have a permanent home in Kept. In December and January, the year's book sits at the front.
#People, only with your yes
Reflections can name the people in your photos, and it asks first. No face is scanned until you say yes, and you can change your answer in Settings at any time. Names you give come back on every device you sign in to, and signing out clears this device's face data. When a new face looks like someone you have already named, the book asks before it assumes.
#For every plan
Premium and Elite open the full book every week. On Free, Reflections shows a preview of each week, so you can see what the book holds.
#Lit glass
The app has a new material. Cards, buttons, sheets and notices share one clear glass that gathers light at its edges, so your theme's color shows through instead of a gray film. Light mode reads like daylight, white glass resting on soft shadow, and sheets stay dark with light text in both modes. A frame that is playing glows on Home and in Frames, the same light everywhere, and Home's Updates catch you up on your people in a few lines.
#Smaller things
A pop-up with a text field, such as renaming a frame, no longer breaks the app when you close it. The photo viewer counts the whole album and keeps loading as you swipe. The notification prompt only appears after you tap to allow it. A frame whose connection dropped rejoins instead of freezing.
Thank you for waiting while we built this. We hope your weeks feel worth keeping.
