I signed up with Apple — can I also sign in on Android or the web?

Not until you link a second sign-in method. Apple sign-in only works on Apple devices, so an Apple-only account cannot be used on Android or the LumiFrame website. While you still have your iPhone, go to Settings → Account → Linked Sign-In Methods and add Google or an email & password. Once linked, you can sign in with either method on any platform.

How is LumiFrame different from Aura, Nixplay, or Skylight?

Traditional digital frames require buying dedicated hardware ($150–$350 per frame). LumiFrame instead works on the screens you already own — your phone, tablet, old iPad, or TV — so no new hardware is required. We are younger than those established brands and still building some of their features, but LumiFrame is built for a software-first approach that turns existing devices into smart frames.

Do I need to buy any hardware?

No. LumiFrame works on devices you already have: old iPads or Android tablets, your current phone or tablet, and smart TVs via casting. Any device running iOS 13+ or Android 7+ works, which makes it ideal for repurposing older devices that still work but aren’t used daily.

Can I manage multiple frames from one app?

Yes. You can control all of your frames from a single app: see which frames are online or offline, start and stop slideshows remotely, adjust volume and brightness, monitor battery levels, and push albums to specific frames. It works well for multi-room setups like kitchen, bedroom, and living-room frames.

How many frames can I manage?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your plan: Free includes 1 managed frame, Premium includes 10 managed frames, and Elite includes 25 managed frames. Each managed frame is a display you control from LumiFrame.

What about photo storage limits?

Accepted Answer

Each tier includes cloud storage: Free has 1GB (about 500–1,000 photos), Premium has 15GB (about 7,500–15,000 photos), and Elite has 50GB (about 25,000–50,000 photos). Your photos stay in your control and sync securely across all your frames.

Can I collaborate with others on albums?

Yes. LumiFrame supports collaborative sharing: Guest Links (Elite) share albums via a web link with no app required for viewers, Collaborative Albums (Premium/Elite) let others contribute photos, the Activity Feed shows additions and reactions, and Frame Sharing gives others access to specific frames.

Can I use LumiFrame for weddings, parties, or school events?

Yes. Album Events let you create a QR code or share link so guests can upload photos and videos directly into one album during an event. Premium includes up to 5 Album Events per month and Elite up to 10, with 10GB of total guest uploads per event. It works well for weddings, birthdays, family reunions, and school functions.

Does it work with my old iPad or Android tablet?

Probably yes. Requirements are modest: iOS 13 or newer (2015+ iPhones/iPads) and Android 7.0 or newer (2016+ devices). An old iPad Mini gathering dust is often perfect for LumiFrame.

What makes LumiFrame "smart"?

Beyond displaying photos, LumiFrame adds context around your memories: Weekly Memory Stories recap your week, the Activity Feed shows when others add photos or react, Smart Curation surfaces moments worth remembering, and Remote Monitoring tells you when frames go offline.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. The Free tier is fully functional and not time-limited, with 1 managed frame and 1GB storage. New accounts may also receive a 7-day Elite preview where supported by the storefront, letting you test the higher tier before it converts to a paid subscription.

What happens to my photos if I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Your photos stay yours. You can still download all of them from the app, and your account drops to the Free tier (1 managed frame, 1GB storage). If you are over the free limits, new uploads may be restricted until you are back within limits or re-subscribe, but your existing media stays with your account unless you delete it.

Can I cast to my TV?

Yes, on Premium and Elite. LumiFrame supports casting to Chromecast and Google TV, Apple TV via AirPlay, and smart TVs with built-in casting, turning your living-room TV into a digital frame when you are not watching shows.

Is my data private and secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit over HTTPS/TLS and stored securely on Google Cloud and Cloudflare R2. App Check verifies requests come from the real app, sharing controls are granular, and biometric app lock and passcode protection are available on Premium/Elite. We never sell your data or use your photos for advertising.
