Linking Sign-In Methods
Why you should connect a second sign-in method to your account, and how to do it. Especially important if you signed up with Apple.
#Linking Sign-In Methods
LumiFrame supports multiple ways to sign in: Apple, Google, Facebook, and email/password. Each one is a separate credential, but they can all be linked to the same account so you can use any of them interchangeably.
This is worth setting up now; it only takes a minute and prevents a common situation where you can no longer access your account.
#Why this matters
If you signed up on an iPhone using "Sign in with Apple", your account is currently tied to that Apple credential alone. You will not be able to sign in on Android, the web, or any device where Apple sign-in is unavailable. If your Apple ID becomes inaccessible, you could lose access to your LumiFrame account entirely.
The fix is simple: link at least one additional sign-in method to your account.
#Which methods can be linked?
| Method | Available on | |---|---| | Apple | iOS / macOS only | | Google | iOS, Android, Web | | Facebook | iOS, Android, Web | | Email & Password | iOS, Android, Web |
We recommend linking Google or email & password as your backup, as both work on every platform.
#How to link a sign-in method
- Go to Settings → Account → Linked Sign-In Methods (or visit your account page on the LumiFrame website).
- Tap Link next to the method you want to add.
- Follow the prompts to sign in with that provider or create a password.
- Once linked, you'll see a green checkmark next to that method.
You can link as many methods as you like. Linking does not change your existing sign-in; it only adds more ways to get in.
#How to remove a linked method
- Go to Settings → Account → Linked Sign-In Methods.
- Tap Unlink next to the method you want to remove.
You cannot unlink your last remaining sign-in method. You must always have at least one active way to sign in.
#Frequently asked questions
Can I sign in with Google even if I signed up with Apple? Yes, once you link Google to your account, you can use either method to sign in on any device.
Will linking create a second account? No. Linking adds a credential to your existing account. Your albums, frames, and data are all unchanged.
I signed up with Apple but now I want to sign in on Android. What do I do? Link Google or email & password to your account first (while you still have access on iOS), then use that method on Android. If you no longer have access to your Apple credential, contact support.
Is it safe to link Facebook? Yes. LumiFrame only receives your name, email address, and profile photo from Facebook, with no passwords or other data.
I forgot to link before losing access to my Apple ID. What now? Contact us at [email protected] and we can help you recover access via identity verification.
