Blocking and Safety
How to block users who are bothering you, view your blocked list, and unblock someone if you change your mind.
#Blocking and Safety
If someone is making you uncomfortable in a shared album, whether it's unwanted comments, inappropriate uploads, or anything else, you can block them. Blocking immediately cuts off their ability to interact with your content.
#What blocking does
When you block someone:
- They are removed from any albums you share with them.
- They cannot send you new album invitations.
- They cannot comment on or react to your photos.
- Their activity no longer appears in your feed.
- They are not notified that you have blocked them.
Blocking is one-way; it does not automatically remove you from albums they own.
#How to block someone
You can block someone directly from their profile or from within a shared album.
From a profile:
- Tap the person's name or avatar anywhere in the app to open their profile.
- Tap the ⋯ (more) button in the top-right corner.
- Tap Block User and confirm.
From a shared album:
- Open the album and go to Access & Sharing.
- Tap the person's name.
- Tap Block User and confirm.
#Viewing your blocked list
- Go to Settings → Account → Blocked Users.
- All blocked accounts are listed here with their display name and username.
#Unblocking someone
- Go to Settings → Account → Blocked Users.
- Tap the person you want to unblock.
- Tap Unblock and confirm.
Once unblocked, they may be able to interact with you again if you share albums or content in the future. Unblocking does not automatically re-add them to albums they were removed from; you would need to invite them again.
#Frequently asked questions
Does the blocked person know they've been blocked? No. LumiFrame does not send any notification when someone is blocked.
Can I still see their photos in an album they own if I block them? Blocking removes them from your albums but does not remove you from albums they own. If you want to leave an album they manage, open the album and choose Leave Album.
